Join us in our mission!
Sok Sabay, an NGO set up in Cambodia by French nurse Marie Cammal since 1995. Having worked in as a nurse in 1981 at a UN refugee camp on the Thai-Kampuchea border, Marie developed a love for helping those in need. Since then, Marie has established a private shelter for desperately poor and defenceless children in need of healthcare, education and tender loving care.
Sok Sabay is a French non-profit association created in 1995, apolitical and non-religious. We are helping children in situations of abuse, abandon, torture, neglect and all kinds of child exploitation in Cambodia and Laos.
Sok Sabay means "happiness" in Khmer. This motto is the very basis of our approach and our mission for more than 20 years.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
We love our supporters, so please visit us. We also welcome volunteers! Send us a message today!

Make a donation to receive a copy of our book - Portraits of Sok Sabay chronicles 34 profile of Cambodians who were taken into the shelter of Sok Sabay, an NGO set up in Cambodia by French nurse Marie Cammal, since they were orphan. Through the lens of World Press Photo winning photographer Stefen Chow, and with thoughtful and considered design direction, the book captures the stories of ‘aftermath’ for these individuals since leaving the shelter, and offers a look into where their lives are today, carefully treading the fine line between telling their stories modestly and sincerely without overtly falls into celebratory tone.
